Off to Minneapolis – Again!

July 25, 2010

It seem strange to be packing today to head off to Minneapolis again! Pam and I were just there in May for Quilt Market, and now Keith and I are heading back there today to attend the annual Husqvarna Viking convention. It’s a pretty city with great restaurants and sidewalk cafés so I’m looking forward to showing it to Keith. Not to mention –

I can hardly wait to see all the new things at convention this year. We have a new sewing and embroidery machine being launched – the  Designer Ruby. The Diamond will still be the top of the line, but I know that the Ruby has some pretty fantastic features to show off as well. I’m also in class for a few days to learn the new Husqvarna 5D software. A new software launch is always looked forward to and I’m excited to be able to see it finally, and be able to bring it home to show it off. Anyone reading this from the Vancouver Lower Mainland area is invited to come to our new product launch in one of our stores the week after I get home. I’ll be showing off all the new “stuff” from both Quilt Market and Husqvarna convention – it’ll be a fun and jam-packed evening. We’re offering this “What’s New” night in our Surrey/Langley store on Wednesday Aug. 4th from 7:00 – 9:00 and in our Abbotsford store on Thursday Aug. 5th, same time. Just call either store to let them know you’ll be coming.

We just got a great new fabric line in from Windham fabrics – “Spa”. I fell in love with it when I saw it and can hardly wait to have time to make the Spa Quad quilt – we’re busy cutting kits of this quilt now so they’ll be available for sale really soon.

I’ve got to run – have to get my suitcase packed to go. Check our facebook page while I’m gone for updates about what’s new at Husqvarna convention!
